ABOUT

I’m Van Norris — a visual storyteller shaped by sport, culture, and performance. My creative foundation comes from my experience as a former athlete, which gives me a natural understanding of preparation and purpose. That perspective informs every project I touch, allowing me to create work that feels authentic, intentional, and grounded in real moments. My path into cinematography began in college, where I discovered photography as a way to capture stories beyond the field. What started as curiosity quickly evolved into a passion for visual narrative. As my skills developed, I leaned fully into post-production and creative direction, using pacing, structure, and emotion to elevate moments into lasting stories.

I currently serve as Post-Production Manager for the Miami Dolphins, leading post-production for gameday and social content across the organization. I oversee workflows for major initiatives and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure content is optimized for Instagram, YouTube, X, and TikTok. The focus is always on clarity, impact, and consistency at scale.

Previously, I spent three seasons with Syracuse University Athletics as a Creative Video Producer & Director. During that time, I helped increase social engagement and supported the growth of Syracuse Men’s Basketball’s social audience by more than 500,000 followers. At every level, my goal is simple: tell meaningful stories that strengthen brands and connect with audiences. I bring a collaborative mindset, a sharp post-production eye, and a deep respect for storytelling into every project I take on.
